The Vast Array of Seen and Unseen Reality
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1
Hung in space—a spectacular emerald island, the Earth spins on its axis revolving in orbit around our unique Sun. Like a brilliant blue-green gemstone, it is perfectly positioned in a vast cosmic array—a spacetime fabric of immense size with dazzling complexity and wonders-upon-wonder. We in fact live on a Privileged Planet. (See the first trailer below)

Have you ever noticed that despite the phenomenal advances in science and technology, scientists can’t seem to arrive at an endpoint for either the very large direction (cosmology) or the very small elemental direction (quantum mechanics/string theory)? Just when they believe they’ve arrived, some new discovery or theory replaces an existing one. We discover an even larger cosmic structure deeper and farther away than we ever imagined or we uncover an ever-smaller particle making up material reality. Could God’s vast array of Creation simply be endless from our reference point on the continuum of existence?
After fine-tuning elemental (quantum) and celestial reality (Genesis 1:2-8), God created three (3) interwoven bio-diverse spheres upon the Earth—each with its own vast array.

- Upon the land He created the plant kingdom in all its astonishing vast array—various seed-bearing vegetation and trees with fruit, all containing reproductive (sexual) seed…each “according to their kind.” (v.11-13) (See the Back to Eden video trailer below. - With the animal kingdom, He created simple-to-highly complex bio-organisms all in their vast array—creatures swimming in the waters, creatures flying through the air, and creatures moving upon the land, both wild and domestic. The creatures in ascending fashion reproduced sexually—male and female, sperm and egg respectively, “according to their kind.” (v.20-25)
- Finally, God created humankind “in His image”—having both sentient and sapient consciousness. He also made the first pair His viceroy representatives, the pinnacle of the created order, and delegated to them oversight of the Earth—rulership similar to His own Divine essence (v.26-31). Further, “…even though the Godhead is clearly above the polarity of sex,” sexuality is woven throughout the entire fabric of Creation, which God called “very good” by design. In addition to transmitting genetic replication information (DNA), “the love relationship of male and female, made in the image of God, reflects the I-Thou love relationship inherent in the very nature of the triune God” (Davidson).
He then created Earth’s primary continent and surrounding oceans (v.9-10). At a later time, this continent would be broken apart in a global upheaval and Flood. (See Hydroplate Theory video below.)
As humankind comes face-to-face with this creational reality, we are all able to clearly behold God’s power, glory, and intelligent design. To seek and entertain an alternative hypothesis or explanation (random chance, purposeless existence, macro-evolution, etc.) regarding the Creation’s vast array, or to suppress the evidence, wonder, and genius of its complexity, is to engage in a particular “unrighteousness” act (Romans 1:18-20). As a viceroy, God holds you accountable for your handling of the reality you plainly see around you.
